Bitfolly and Hydra

I handled visuals for my friend Ali’s (qareebi) techno set using bitfolly and hydra.

RUN THE WHOLE SET IN STRUDEL!

I played a set with guitar, vocals, and strudel. The guitar and mic were run through an audio interface and the sound was processed manually using AudioContext(). While this is a little limiting, I wanted to make a point that a set like this can be played with just strudel. The ghazal I sang with it was Hameed Alam Beigh’s “Wo hata rahe” which has a running motif of doing things in front of everyone but secretly. Keeping that theme in mind, my visuals on the set was a pixelated view of my Signal messenger and the private messages on it.
